Flight is an interesting book. I didn't rate very high because at times it had time keeping my attention. It may have been because I listened to the book. The switching of time and place was very confusing for me, maybe in the book it would have been easier to note the switches.

For most of the book, the main character is known as Zits, mostly because he has an acne problem. He is Native American kid who has been growing up in foster care. Obviously, in more than one foster home. At his last foster home, he decides he doesn't want to be a foster kid anymore. He comes across some runaway kid that persuades him to shoot up a bank. Without giving the story away, Zits pretty much has a outer body experience. Once he was put back into his body, he realizes that he doesn't want continue to the path he has been walking.

While this book is full of depressing moments and realizations, it has good ending. Not many foster kids get this type of ending, but shouldn't we be hopeful there are a few we can rescue.
